Shrek II, what a movie.

Just saw it today, and I personally think it might be better than the original. Funny still, and not overly done.

I thought this sucked... I hardly ever get a chuckle out. except for the cat part, which I was already spoild from the trailer.

I thought the first one was much better.

Saw it, loved it! 🙂

I was surprised at how much better it looked than the first one. Did you see the water splash up when the giant gingerbread man fell in the moat? Looked real!

Also, yeah, I think it was funnier. Catch the Rocky Horror Picture Show reference?

Haha, yea it was a great movie. I think the first one was funnier because it had more humor to it. But I really liked this one as well. The cat was awesome 😀

I LOVED it. Too bad I had to pay $17 for my GF and I. What kind of sh!t is that? I could buy the damn DVD for that much!!!:|

Damn you need to find a better theater, I saw this at the DLP theater in plano and this digital print on a digital theater was awesome, 12 bucks for me and my GF too 😉

The reason why I went to AMC is b/c I had a $10 gift card to use. But in our haste to get to theatre before the placed filled up, I left the gift card in the center console of my GF's car. If you had heard the obscenities that flew out of my mouth with the teller said $17 and I realized that I left the card, you would have been covering your ears 😛

That's why I stopped going to movie theaters and simply wait for the DVD to come out. Buy a large screen HDTV, a good sound system and a good DVD player and say goodbye to rude people, smelly theaters and over priced tickets.

Somehow I can't justify buying an hdtv that's worth as much as a car, to offest the $200 max I spend on movie tickets (both me and my wife) every year.

Spoken like a true Fellow HT Afficianado (sp?) I agree 100%. Now I just need a big-screen TV..or better yet, a projector...a dedicated HT room and a house. 🙁

I love my HT in my apt. I don't have to put up with the whole "movie theater experience."

I hear ya! 🙂 I'd suggest just buying a moderate sized RP TV for now, and when you get a house you can use that as your family room TV then buy a FP for the basement. 🙂

Oh, and if you want true AV nirvana, get any set you buy ISF calibrated. You'll be shocked at how much better an ISF calibrated TV looks.

I have seen a RPTV that was NSF calibrated and it was beautiful!!!! I calibrate my old Sony with Avia twice a year. The diff b/t my TV and my buddy's who could care less about this "calibration thing" is startling. 🙂

Yep.

Avia is a good start. But it barely scratches the surface compaired to a true ISF calibration. I was absolutely floored by the change in my sets.

I constantly feel the urge to tweak other people's sets when I see them... but I hold myself back. 😀

Anyways, back at the ranch... 😛

Saw it with the missus on Sunday... Great flick, and I think i can honestly saw I laughed more for this one. It had a Classic Simpson-esque feel (veiled references meant for the older crowd, while still being cute enough for the yungins).

I thought having Banderas play the voice of Puss was a nice touch... especially with the whole Cats-Eyes thing he had going on..

I'd by it on DVD, just to see what other references I missed... 😀
