Chuck never interested me, I'm a Castle fan...but I view it as a comedy, not a serious drama...Dollhouse doesn't interest me, and The only episode of T: SCC I ever watched sucked badly.
The Cape looked very stupid in the commercials, never watched it.

The cape was very stupid.

I would hesitate to recommend Chuck, Firefly (or any other Whedon franchise), Farscape, or even SG1 for that matter, if the ideas is to suggest a show like the BSG reboot.

Dexter is so far the only suggestion I've seen that is really similar to BSG, as far as a Drama goes; maybe also Damages if nobody suggested it yet. The others, especially Chuck and Farscape, are too genre savy to take themselves too seriously. That's not to say they don't have engaging characters, and long multi-episode story arcs; it's just that they feel more like Buffy the Vampire Slayer than BSG.

From what I've seen of SG1, it's only just getting into multi-episode arcs in season 6 (of 10), prior to that it's more of an "adventure of the week" type show, with very little to connect the episodes.

The Tudors might also be a good one drama-wise. Sure it's not in space, or sci-fi, but it's got plenty of tits.

Everything... show was cool for the first season-ish, then it overdid it with the emo/"dramatic" shit.

Dexter
Rescue Me
Kings - only one season but I thought it was really good. It's sad it never took off. I remember watching it when BSG was still on and thinking I liked Kings just as much if not more than BSG.

I've been considering watching Deadwood. Is it worth watching even though it was cancelled and didn't get a real ending? I know it's a good show, but I don't want to be left pissed and unfulfilled after watching it.

It might very well be the best show ever.

it certainly has the best character, that I can think of, created for screen: Al Swearengin.

It's really, really bad though. If I'm just in it for tits and I need to stomach horrible dialogue and bad acting, I might as well watch Spartacus, b/c at least you get bad action and ridiculous plots on top of that---and far, FAR superior tits. (one must be able to tolerate the ninja cock shots, though :D)

If you want scifi, try Farscape, the Stargates, and apparently Firefly (haven't gotten to this one yet).

Non scifi: Mad Men, Boardwalk Empire, The Walking Dead, Breaking Bad (next up on my list)...

Great shows!!

Rome and Deadwood

For Scifi, B5 is really good if you can get past S1 and the old special effects (it was the first TV show to use CG space scenes) like someone else said. Stargate Universe is a ripoff of BSG loosely set in the SG universe (hence the name I guess) but it might be less interesting if you haven't seen SG-1.
