FB feed takes me all of a few minutes to go through, and I'd sooner stare at a blank wall than visit reddit for anything other than highly-specific information (and even that's rare).

Nothing to do with the popularity, everything to do with the shit layout and upvote/downvote stuff.
I'm not being "elitist" because I think it's shit. It would be "elitist" if I said something like "I'm too good for reddit". Don't use words like that if you don't know how to use them.

I can't get through the unreadable format on reddit. I wouldn't even know what those people are talking about or how to follow a string of responses or conversation, because it looks like internet in the AOL days. or something else that is totally unfamiliar to me.

I have no facebook or other social media, so, yeah.

I'd rather come here or go to Slashdot than go to Reddit. There are just way too many jerks there who think that the down arrow is a "I disagree with you" button.

(Hell, the statement that I just posted above would probably get downvoted to oblivion by the Reddit "groupthink" if I ever posted it there)
