Showering at a Gym ...

So there's this guy I work with (actually it's me but I will pretend so as to distance myself from the story) that got really wasted last night and came in to work really hungover. He has a gym membership and so on his lunch break went to the gym and took a shower. Now, I ... er ... he did not work out at all, just walked in took a shower and left. Do you think thats strange and if so what do you think the people at the gym were saying?

Yea that is strange.

Should have gone in and done some situps or something, maybe if they had a pool do some laps...

No, I do it all the time. Its great if you work near your office, and you have a dinner appointment. I go to my Gym in the morning, lunch and nigh. Showers whenever I have the need ot the time.

Nah.. I would be more disturbed by the guys in the locker room paying that much attention to what other guys are doing.

He pays for his gym membership, including use of the showers. I don't see it as a big deal.

You're assuming that anyone at the gym noticed?

Not really too weird. I'm sure they don't mind what you do there, as long as you are paying your dues.

Shoot, I did that the other morning. Most of the women at the gym sort of walk around in full makeup, hair done and just talk. So, why shouldnt you use what you need and leave?

I'm sure your workmates appreciate you not smelling like a stale bar

I didnt know if it was common or not. If it's not then seeing someone walk in and then back out 15 - 20 mins later would be rather strange.

Well, if a guy at your gym was doing the kinds of things that he was doing, don't you think you would notice too? 😉

Nobody noticed ... used to do this when I'd bike or run at lunch, but not actually work out in the gym.

well, if "this guy" drank a lot last night and was hungover, id imagine he was sweating out some of that alcohol and needed the shower. nothing weird about making sure youre clean.
