Shower Tower w/Lots of water pressure

I vacationed in Japan and stayed at a few hotels that had shower towers. Basically a shower tower is a three or four foot device that has shower massage jets that massage you with strong jets of water while you shower. I started to look into getting one of these here (they are available) but everything is regulated at 2.5 GPM (Gallons Per Minute). What is the point of getting a shower tower when the water won't have any force behind it. Here is my question:

Since other countries don't have this 2.5 GPM regulations, can I order from perhaps Alibaba a Shower Tower and have it shipped to me in the US. Will the fittings be the same? Yes, I've tried removing restrictors and numerous washers that restrict the water flow with only minimal benefit. I need a good vigorous shower in the morning. If I wanted something weak, I would just stand out in the rain.

Has anyone ordered a shower tower from over seas? Any problem with installation?

That's a DoE law/rule that went into effect in 2013. (2.5gpm total usage of the device, from 1994 up 'till then it was 2.5gpm per head no matter how many heads)
Some manufacturers restrict the input to 2.5gpm, while others limit the usage of heads to a single 2.5gpm head at a time.
As I understand it, Canada has the same limits, just stated in Litres/pm.

How are you connecting to the water supply?
If it's through an existing shower valve that could be why you saw little difference when removing the restrictors.
Most rough-in valves after 2012 have 2.5gpm restrictors built into them for the shower, but not for the tub connection.
Then there is also water pressure to consider, maybe yours could be a little low?

Anyway, outside of US and Canada NPT is normally not used, it is usually BSSPT (British Standard Straight Pipe Thread) and adapters are readily available. (example - https://www.amazon.com/Thread-Male-Female-Fitting-Adapter/dp/B00Y8Q9OEK)

Shower heads are easy, you can buy them on Amazon.
Towers ?, that's a rough one.

Your other hurdle is that there are federal rules in place that restrict/prohibit importation of unrestricted high flow units into the US, so most foreign distributors simply won't send them.
Of course if you know someone in Japan or UK that would send you a "present"......

Good luck!
