I'd love to see some pics of this. One of my future projects is to have a closet full of crunchers, and access them via Remote Desktop.

lol, looks pretty much like ours.

Router upstairs connected to two desktop computers, one wire runs down our laundry chute to a switch down on the first floor where three other computers connect to it.

 Wired>*

Yeah, we have a wireless g router and some USB adapters that I got for $8 each piece during the summer because we didn't know what the situation would be. Once we saw the laundry chute method would work, everything is real wires :)

These are a little dated, because I've upgraded some of the equipment since taking these pictures, but
here is one of the three walls of racks; it has the main switches and routers for the "external" network, the news servers, mail servers, and web servers.
And here is the wall with the user login machines, the NFS server, the "backup" server running the DLT libraries, and two of the DNS machines.

This picture is about five years old, so I've replaced a lot of the machines in these racks since.

Jeezus why am I not surprised that Trygve has a small NOC in his house? Here's mine, nothing special just a DNS/SMB/Jinzora box along with a local mirror box.
