The box is a custom fiberglass enclosure (Dont think I needed to point out its custom). The amp has been replaced with a Kicker one now.
woulda been better if the sub had been placed in the small area near the side instead of on the floor, but nice job
mines all stock w/ no pics.
need to figure out where all the speakers are etc and how it is amplified. i believe its a 9 spk setup.
It was a thought, but overall, wanted to leave the car intact as much as possible for later if I go to sell it (which prob wont be for a long while). And honestly, I dont think my skills are up to par to do it, that is my first fiberglass enclosure Ive made.
so would u mind pointing out or giving me some tips on how to do a glass enclosure...i really want to get my mazda3 hb w/ some bass and there is a perfect alcove to fit a 10 on the side of the back hatch area, but i've never done any glass work...
What I did was take part of the trunk actually, it was a styrofoam compartment, laid it out with fleece, then took a small wood rod and used it to prop up a wooden circle we cut out to mount the sub to, then just took fleece and stretched it across the top which gave the whole thing the shape wanted. After that took the fiberglass resin and just coated the hell out of it to make it. Fleece worked well because it was absorbant, and was very easy to stretch and form to what I wanted. There are alot of ways to do it, thats the one that worked best IMO for this. The biggest thing was gobbing on lots of it in spots that would be harder to keep sealed (around the wooden rod, at the space between the pieces of fleece.
