Hey I'm planning to build a smaller form factor and would like to get some ideas.
Reviews of your case would be nice too. THANKS!!!

There is a review I wrote of my case (Athenatech A100-SC) on Here in the. I need to add that it takes a bit of effort to get it to breathe well - runs warm as it comes from the factory.

If I made a direct link, you might not learn of the other resources available on techimo - you know, "...Forest for the tree." My link gets you within spitting distance. If you can't find it from there...

Thank goodness we have people around like you to point us lost souls in the direction of much smartness.

BTW, the :sun: is somewhere in our solar system, if I told you exactly where it was you wouldn't learn anything.

I picked up this case a month or so back for $21 shipped with no PSU.
The case is a lower end case but I already had all the components as spare parts (including mATX PSU) sitting around collecting dust. The light bars on each end rotate through 7 colors and can be turned off on front panel.

Specs as follows:
Abit Intel 810 Flex board
600mhz Cel @ 750
Phillips based TV tuner
320 sdram
10x DVD
20 gig hd
Aopen 5:1 card
Creative 4:1 speaker setup
21" sony monitor
dual boot Win98 and Xp Pro (Win98 for kids games and TV tuner)

I keep this setup in my basement for MP3 server/DVD theater/MAME machine

I would rate this case a three out of five stars because of thin metal and lack of 80mm fan hole (going to cut one in "top") but there are 3 60mm fan holes (too much noise unless you use a voltage mod or fanbus)

Here are a couple pics:

At least my post tells you what you're looking for and the goal is easily reached, while yours goes nowhere... And your "sun" analogy fails miserably.

ASUS H340D - low profile microATX case. They also have other models/variations of the H340 line. Check their website for info.

heat is an issue, but not too bad if you don't OC or run uber-fast CPUs.

Just set up a box w/ a GMC case I got from a NewEgg special. Heat is a killer in that box w/ an ALLIED AL-B200SFX. That damn PSU is so hot on the back that you cant even touch it.
