Quite possibly that is the worst song ever. I don't get why people like this guy. Oh well.

Get off my lawn!
people like him because he's catchy and inoffensive. i dont particularly care for him, but i wouldn't waste my haterade on him either

I have a Droid 1, my pops has an Incredible. I would take Sense over stock any day of the week. I absolutely love HTC's widgets, and I typically hate any sort of Widgets.

God, I hope you're kidding.

(You) should've known you (were) in trouble from the first kiss.

nope. thats not what the singer meant. I think the correct "non-ghetto" translation would be "I should've known you are trouble from the first kiss."
The song talks about the singer bending over backward for the girl, but her not returning the favor.

It's not good grammar but it's not ghetto. Still makes sense. and I think it's shout be "I should've know you were trouble from the first kiss". But either way.. it's one word in an incorrect tense and it probably makes the song rhyme or something.

Nope, that's incorrect grammar. Your "translation" has 2 different tenses in it.

I should've != you are trouble

Past and present don't mix in this way.

hmm, seems right to me since the girl is still trouble, hence the "are". But the first kiss happened in the past (at which time the singer should've come to said realization about the girl), hence the "should've".

but since I'm not entirely sure about this, and don't feel like taking the time to research this further, I'll defer to your judgment.

Or maybe the lyrics are intentionally ambiguous to inspire discussion, such as this one.
