Shouldn't my PC perform faster?

Hi everyone,

I recently purchased a Dell Inspiron 8100. I have Win2k Pro installed on it. The laptop is running at 1.13 MHz Pentium III with 256 MB of RAM and with 27 GB of space left out of 30 GB. I'd like to know why my laptop is not performing up to par, meaning, why does it take almost more then a minute to boot and why does it sometimes freeze when running programs? I thought Win2k Pro is FREEZLESS?

Win2k takes a long time to boot so that's normal. You should call or email Dell about the freezing problem. Their tech support and customer service is excellent.
