I have a abit kt7a, and I freeze up if I try 1400, and if I hit 1500 I blue screen. Like I said in my previous post, I'm not too familiar with the different types of settings when it comes to the multiplier and fsb.

Also, My system has been freezing up constantly, so what I did is change the voltage to 1.85. I don't know if this is a bad thing, but it worked. Haven't froze yet. Probably will freeze anyway, but I tried. Anyway, I called up mwave, and they are sending me an Iwill kk266. Hopefully, I will be able to OC.

It could be a problem with your power supply? What PS are you using?

Can't remember the name. It's a 400w. I bought it at staples 2 weeks ago. It's not a staples brand, that's for sure.

There could be various problems, you have to give more info on your system specs (mobo, hsf, case cooling etc.).

Possible problems:

-cpu temps (>55C)
-fsb too high (my Asus A7V133 will go not higher than 143MHz)
-ram clock or timings too high depending on ram used
-psu too weak (<300 watt)
-etc

I have no problems running an AXIA0109 1.33@1.5@1.75V with ALPHA PAL6035 on an Asus A7V133. Have an Antec SX1030 with 4 case fans.

abit kt7a
1333 (266)Athlon
2 256 dimms from mwave and 1 128 from bestbuy (can't remember the brand)
radeon ddr
2 40 GB WD harddrives
cdr toshiba
3com nic

My temps are just fine. I'm idle at 38C. At load, 45C. This is with generic fan that came with Mobo.

i think the generic fan could be your problem. My 1.333 with swiftech mc-462a (one of the best) and artic silver 2...6 case mod fans with antec 830...is like 37-39 degrees normal. 40-42 at heavy load. To check your ram clock and timings...go to BIOS and look for it there. i don't know much abut asus a7v and how it OC's. I actually had one...gave it to my cousin but never tried ocing with that.

Is the best buy RAM PC133? Maybe try taking that one out. I believe that systems are more prone to errors when overclocking when all the DIMM slots are full. Are you overclokcing just with FSB? In that case, the Mwave memory may not go a whole lot higher than 144 MHz.
