I have heard on the news lately that there is a big push so people don't have to show an ID when they go to vote, Hilary Clinton even wants people who only have a green card to be able to vote. You need to show an ID to by beer or get a home Depot card but not to elect the president, that makes no sense to me am I wrong? I have a strong feeling this will go right down party lines but I could be wrong.

yes. otherwise it undermines the whole registering to vote thing.

Hilary Clinton even wants people who only have a green card to be able to vote

if thats true, then she doesnt deserve to hold political office because she is seeking power for her own personal gains and not putting the ideals and values of this country ahead of her own. if this is true, then she fully deserves all the hate that is directed towords her.

There are quite a few places where you dont have to show ID vote. These places are largely democratic areas and democrats refuse to require IDs to vote.

I live in MA, I don't have to show ID in order to vote. I just have to state my address and name so they can look me up in the registration rolls.

I always thought conservative were against any form of ID or "registration" i.e. gun control.

I know where I live (NC), I do not have to show any registration card. All I have to do is show my license and they check in the computer if I am registered to vote. Which should be the way it is everywhere. I would assume it is a lot more difficult to make a fake id then it is to make a fake voter registration card.

but they DO check, that's the important thing.

It makes sense that people should register to vote...easier to make sure people aren't voting twice or anything.

How in the world is someone going to figure who does and doesn't vote? And who's going to take the time to find names/addresses and take the time to vote?

Democrats blocked a bill in arizona that would have required IDs at the voting booth and to receive state/local services. There was another state that democrats blocked a similar bill, but i cant think of which one it was.
