Well i hvae a linux box runing ftp and iim using wuftpd


i have redhat 7.2 insta;;ed and when i download from the lan it kinda dls slow...wll what i mean is like it dls from lets say 394 mb to 397 adn would stop a sec then goto 401 and stop a sec...well these are not the exact numbers but you get the point.

Can someone tell me what mabye causing this?
This thing makes my win experer use 50 percent of cpu!

if i where you, i would switch over to proftp, wu has sooooooooooo many holes its not funny. it is easier to admin, and takes up less cpu cycles<itdoesent have as much outdated code>.
wu was written in a time when security wasnt as much an issue, proftp blows the h3ll out of it.

i tried installing proftpd and i was unsuccessful.....I have just gotten into the whole "linux" seen....hopefully the next time i try it i will be successful in usning proftpd.
