Should they really be compared?

It's been said that Fahrenheit 451 is better because it is more probable, but does that automatically make it better than Nineteen Eighty-Four?
I myself see the latter as more probable, even though the year 1984 has come and gone.
So, which do you think is more "realistic," and which do you think is better in teaching a moral?
Or, do you think they should not be compared?

Of course, this is assuming that any of you can actually read.

For a moment, I thought you were trying to compare 1984 and Farenheit 911.

That's quite a logical comparison.

Perhaps, but they should NEVER be put side-by-side, because Orwell is a respectable person - and Michael Moore is an attention whore.

I think a Brave New World is a lot more feasible nowadays than those other books, anyways. At least in developed countries.

Who said that one was "better" because it was more probable?

Anyway, I enjoyed 1984. I think a lot in the book parallels what we see in American society today, particularly in how we are beginning to sacrifice certain civil liberties so that that the government can "protect" us (e.g. the Patriot Act, Homeland Security in a post-9/11 US).

That was sarcasm.
There's very little logic in that comparison at all.
