I don't think you understand the concept.

Up/downvoting reorders the posts in a thread by rating, rather than by time. It is for comment sections. Not forums. If you did it on a forum...it would not be a forum anymore.

This place can use an increase in positivity. Often people give very useful advice but not everyone wants to reply just to give their appreciation. The upvotes works great for that.
