Should there be an alternative to Heatware?

I have been unable to reactivate my Heatware account for several days now because it looks as if the guy who administers it is out of town. With deals pending and people unable to check my ratings it's a bit frustrating. This is not a first time I ran into delays with Heatware, and so I understand many others.

Now, I want to make a disclaimer that in no way I intend to bash the Heatware and service they provide, not at all. I think they are doing the good deed, best they can, and saved many people from dealing with trolls. I simply ask if you think it may be a good idea to have another service, an alertnative if you will...

I'm gonna go with no. I highly doubt the majority of users (myself included) would bother using another service. Heat's the accepted standard.

Thst's my point precisely; what good are my 50+ positives if they are inaccessible for a long time? Reliability is my main concern.

Sure, if you're willing to pay for it and set one up. ;)

Seeing as this is a free service, I don't think theres much anyone can say or even come close to providing the service he does.

It's best to have one universal place I'd say.

Sorry, but 3 days is not a "long time". As for reliability, please remember that it is a free service.

Another person able to administer things wouldn't hurt, I imagine, but chalk this one up as a hiccup along the road to trading goodness.

If you put in the effort, you can (I imagine) get similar verification results (at least while heat's out). Work with those you wish to trade with to cross-reference your past trades, particularly with high-profile traders. Have them vouch for you.

I am not sure if I have the knowledge to run a website like that, but if I did, it would DEFINITELY be free of charge. Voluntary donations only.

What happened to your account in the first place?

I submitted the change of contact e-mail. When you do, it automatically locks out your account until they e-mail you new temporary password. The worst thing is, if anyone tries to check my heat and search by my user name they'll get something like "no such user".

Again, please read my original post. I in no way want to flame or be ungreatful SOB for the free service they provide. I simply asked for opinions if there should be something else IN ADDITION to Heatware. In my situation (or anyone else for that matter), it would be nice to have other venues where people can check on each other and not being dependent on single source of information. It's like the basic rule of networking - you want to eliminate the single point of failure.
