Should there be a public registry of people who test positive for HIV?

I hear many of these people try to hide it from partners D:

We already have one trash thread about this subject.

We don't need a second.

Sure, and ban guns, knives, cars, and baseball bats. I hear people die from those, and the end always justifies the means. One death is a death too many. Every life is precious! All 7.3b of them...

Don't think so for HIV but it makes sense for AIDS. A national registry won't warn off casual encounters though. They should be forced to wear a scarlet "A" everywhere they go... you know... for AIDS.

That and a million other things. Should there be public registries for all of those too? Do we need a website that provides social ratings for people so that the general public can rate their partners, you know, integrate all these potential ills into one?

Yes. Also an STD registry, and a registry of people with genetic disorders so that you don't accidentally breed with them. Also, everyone's weight should be public knowledge, and if you were fat in the past, that should definitely be noted publicly.
