Catholic schools do a better job of educating our children than public schools (look at the statistics if you don't believe me) at a fraction of the cost.

Public education is not working and it's damn expensive.

Why not scrap the whole mess and turn it over to the private sector?

i went to a catholic school all my life... hell even college. the only reason i did good is because my parents were always on my ass about how they're paying for my education so i better make it worth it...

by the way, can you provide some links to support your argument? that would be nice.

rich people = educated - that's usually true
sending child to private school = rich = educated
a child with educated parents is going to do better in school than a child with parents that are not educated.
hell, take all the private school kids and put them in public schools, they'll still do well

so shove your statistics wherever you feel comfortable with them.

I'm confident that my statements are correct. Disprove me.

oh yeah, you must have learned a lot from where you went to school to make a personal insult like that. get off of your ivory tower and provide some data to back up your claims.

What education level?

If we are talking about elementry up to high school I say no, don't privatize them. If it was we would see an even bigger gap between the rich and the poor.

I think money and education shouldn't be mixed and only helps to bring about a class system.
If you want better education I say make it standarized and make it harder, kids have to learn alot less now a days which in turn doesn't stimulate them (especially younger children).

You were educated in a Catholic School so we were just expressing our opinions in a way you'd understand.

Yeah, right. It doesn't matter where I was educated. Am I right or wrong? If I'm wrong, prove it.

well here are some facts they may be of usefullness:

facts

you might want to pay attention to the part where it mentions: "Polls show that the vast majority of parents support the public schools their children attend and believe those schools are doing a good job."

private school students are not the same as the students who go to public schools. "better" students give ubetter scores, makes perfect sense to m e.
