munchies?

Yup at first, then with chronic usage its followed by loss of appetite.
Depression, anxiety, sexual impotence, obsessive thoughts, paranoia, apathy, low motivation

Not to mention if you sit around too baked to do anything that requires anything above a minimal cognitive function all the time, its only going to lead to cognitive decline.

But you can certainly say the same thing about alcohol. In fact, chronic abuse of alcohol can lead to profound retrograde amnesia known as Korsakoff's Syndrome.

As a every day consumer of marijuana, for the last almost 2 years, I have not had a single one of those problems.

Chronic usage? So we should base our laws around a few people who don't understand moderation? You know chronic usage of alcohol is far more dangerous than weed right?

If they can ban incandescent light bulbs, I don't see why they can't ban smoking.

Next up on the chopping block, fast food. You ok with that as well?

Fast food, although terrible for you, is at least food. Cigarettes offer zero health benefits in any way to their consumers, as well as spreading unwanted fumes and odors to unwilling bystanders, which can lead to health problems. Does your fast food do any of that?

Hope you're ready for the "herpderp burger king's fumes choke me nearly to death" posts =/

Not "ban" per se, but smokers should be denied health care for smoking related illness and second hand smoke should be considered a form of assault.

lol, so you don't think anyone should be allowed coverage if they do something to risk their own health? well i guess if you're not eating a proper diet, fuck your insurance as well. you don't exercise enough? fuck your insurance. you ride a motorcycle? fuck your insurance. you have a sports car? fuck your insurance. the list can go on and on and on and on and on.

I understand your logic, but cigarettes straight up do nothing but kill you. Food sustains your life, cars are a tool to travel, etc. Cigarettes have zero redeeming qualities. If there were "healthy" cigarettes then your point would mean more :p

This is the type of thing that bothers me, it's like saying "Who am I to tell someone not to fire a gun in public" If I don't like it, I should move out of the firing line.

It's not the people around that should conform to someones hobby, it's the person with the hobby that should conform to everyone else's needs. Apologies on how much this mirrors your post.

Your idiocy knows no bounds.

that's not true. cigarettes relax me. they help me calm down. they also help me enjoy my life more. we're all going to die REGARDLESS OF WHAT ANY OF US THINK. YOU WILL DIE. get over it. your tool for travel is of no more value than a cigarette for pleasure.

Insurance companies are already doing this. They will give you a discount if you choose a healthy lifestyle.

I just filled out a questionnaire for my new medical ins. co., and, along with smoking, questions about diet, exercise, and even motor cycle riding were on it!

I also got a discount for being tested, by them, and scoring well in BMI, cholesterol, glucose, and blood pressure screenings.

So yes, although, they won't deny you health ins., they will decrease your rate or increase it based on many health factors.

higher rates are different than being banned from being a part of it. i have no problem with people who live riskier lives paying more than those living less risky lives. but to straight deny/ban it from people would be absolutely retarded as is making second hand smoke assault. fucking retarded.

Note: I don't think they should be illegal.

I'm well aware that I will die. But if I choose to kill myself (cigarettes are more or less a lengthy suicide) then I do NOT deserve insurance coverage.

And what? When I mentioned cars were for travel I meant for business, not pleasure. Can a cigarette take you to work so you can afford more cigarettes?

People who have never smoked are clueless, which makes up so much of this board.

I am not even a smoker, I have a cigarette every once in a while. People see me and they're like "you're a smoker, but I've never seen you smoke". Because its not black or white.

Not everyone who smokes is a "smoker". Its not that you're either a "smoker" or you're not any more than you're an "alcoholic" or you're not.

Anybody who ever drinks alcohol should also have no insurance, or ever smoke weed, or who ever eat McDonalds. Basically by your logic nobody should have insurance.

Total difference between eating to sustain your life and driving to sustain a job with smoking for pleasure. Shocking that a smoker is the one arguing this. Just face that facts that most people are pointing and laughing at you. Please continue to smoke for my amusement, it's cheaper than going to the circus.

And everyone is going to die anyway is your rationale? Mmmmk!
