I was not surprised. Favre seems sensitive to how he is perceived, and he probably realized he could not have put up numbers as good as Peyton. What would people think if he went in to to replace Peyton last year, and put up maybe 60% of the numbers? I don't think Brett wanted that to gamble with the comparison.
