hehhehe 🙂
here's the case...
I have some extra cash floating around in my house (lol)
and on my soon to be new rig...
I can
Either Pump the Cash in to Upgrrade to a pc2700 ram....
or the money can go to a Radeon 9700 Pro from an MSI geForce 4 ti 4600....

I am planning on getting the granite bay motherboard by Gigabyte....
so i will most probably be Down clocking my pc2700 to run at pc2100 @CL 2....

Hmm, in over a year I have not seen any quality PC2100 RAM that does not run stable at 2100 speeds with CAS 2...

How about just MORE RAM?
I don't think you will see a huge lot of difference by moving to 2700 or moving from a TI4600 to a 9700 (okay, okay, it is much better, but if he already has a 4600, why not wait until the price drops?).

How much RAM do you have already?
What do you usually use the PC for?
What kind of games do you play/want to play?

yes, also what's the graphics card you are using now?
Without knowing about these, what can we say?

i agree the difference is worth buying the radeon but unless you sell the msi card to recoup some losses is it really worth it when your card handles games fine?

Given the scenario, I'd say that is an understatement. Maybe you should consider putting that "extra cash" in an investment account rather than wasting it as your going to do with it. I would hardly consider upgrading from a 4600 to 9700 a smart move. No.. in fact, I'd say it would be a... never mind. I'll hold that thought.
