Should kids be submissive to their parents?

I think that kids should generally be submissive to their parents. I DON't think parents should abuse this though and I don't mean like a dictator "Go do the dishes. Do the laundry. etc." but more out of respect, like if the kids are mad and yelling at someone and the parents grab their arms and says "stop it!", the kids should.

To add more to this serious discussion, I think parents should be able to slap the kids up from time to time to keep them submissive.

At least that would have been semi-creative.

Seriously, how about a zero tolerance policy on lameass parody threads? The signal to noise ratio would improve dramatically.

I thought a "Should bikes be submissive to cars" thread would have been the next logical step, but logic is lost here.

Well I'm certainly not going to post it. I've been given enough vacations from this place.

No. Kids, like anybody, do not need to respect anybody without reason. Simply having a child is not enough to gain even a child's respect. (Although, the kid owe's the mother alot, and I consider that a debt, not due respect)
