I'm trying to print a MS Publisher document for my dad. It's been sitting in the print queue for almost 5 minutes. It's one page, with 30 identical items (a page of labels). The printer is a HP Laser Jet 5L, which normally starts printing almost immediately. Word documents, Acrobat PDF's, web pages, anything like that prints immediately. But Publisher always takes forever to print. At 150 dpi it will print quickly, but at 600 it will just hang. In theory 600 dpi should take 16 times as long to prepare as 150 dpi, but still... I'm on a P3 966, this shouldn't take so fvckin' long. I printed more complicated documents than this faster on my old 486 33.
And before you suggest it, I've already downloaded the most recent drivers.
