I think it should, I would sell a kidney for a minimum of $150k.

Also if I die I want my organs to be sold and the money be given to people I care about.

What do you think?

I had to have the middle six inches of mine removed because I was going deaf in my left ear.

I think they'd love you in China.

Big organ market. I'm sure you'd be appealing to some upper crust CCP member who wants nothing to do with the innards of Uighurs and Falun Gong members.

A friend donated a kidney. It cost him around $6,000 because his insurance didn't cover that, and neither did the recipients insurance cover travel and time off of work etc. and it's illegal to benefit from donating an organ iirc. I'd say if you donate you should recieve some compensation for your pain and suffering and any future problems, but that's me.

No, but I think by law, everyone should be opted in to organ donation upon death, unless they choose to opt out and take steps to do it.

Personally it seems unethical to me to seek an organ from a living person. I would refuse an organ from a living donor.

I think a kidney is ok. It appears that we can get by just fine on one. The donners medical expenses should be covered, but no other payment should be allowed.

Pity I can't sell half of my tremendous hulking ego. That would have to be worth eight or ten bucks.

A lot of people in this country could use brain transplants.
I tried to sell mine. It didn't go well.

You should be able to sell your bone marrow for as much as someone is willing to pay for it. Same with a piece of your liver.

I don't think you should be able to sell entire organs. Same policy reason as not allowing any organ selling.

It might be a weird place to draw a line, but if I can replenish my liver or bone marrow, I'm not really "selling" the organ, just a part of it.

I would pay a fortune to be able to give mine away for free, but apparently I am too worthless to sell the deal.
