Should I water cool my next CPU which will be an AMD Zen 4?

I am looking at getting the top of the line 7 example from Zen 3, 5800 or maybe the 9 like the 5900 or 5950 for my CPU.

WC is overrated unless you have something pegging the CPU which isn't gaming. Gaming hits the GPU not the CPU so, if you want to put a block on the GPU that would be more productive.

There was a lot of hype about ADL running hot on the intel side and pushing AIO's / WC like it was a desert that needed rain... Actual setup doesn't even come close to needing one though. I went with a cheap $45 tower and a couple of fans and it's sitting just fine at room temp most of the time. When it goes under load it might hit 50C at most.

All my watercooling setups were/are CPU+GPU custom loops. If I'm not adding the GPU, I do air. I can see some people using water for aesthetics or because of space constraints, but I haven't built any systems where that's a concern. Last cooler I bought was a cheap ID Cooling SSE-224 XT ($23) for a 5600X.
