Purchase Details:

I. $300 bucks is my limit give or take $30 rebates are fine if they are availible. If not it's fine :D

II. I'd like an Nvida Card. I was thinking GTX 660 ti when it comes out or maybe something like the 570...not sure I just want something that will last me a while.

III.Not sure about doing multi gpu right now but if it's a long lasting option im up for it.

IV.I looked at the GTX 570 and the rumors of the GTX 660 ti, but I'm not sure which one would be the best results for it's price.

V.I play games like Aion which i'd like to play full graphics. Guild Wars 2 soon, Tera maybe, Blade & Soul whenever it comes out. Battlefield 3...things of that nature...Crysis full specs if i can.

VI. I haven't tried overclocking before and if need be i'd like not too...i haven't done research on it but i will soon but for now i'd like to run a card without it :D.

Additional Notes
As mentioned before, I looked at the rumored GTX 660 ti specs and GTX 570 but I'm not sure what will best suit my needs. Waiting might do me well but then again i'd love to have a good card now b/c i think the 4830 is outdated. Thank you for any advice you may have for me. Please feel free to mention any other cards you feel would be a good choice please.

Well, 1000W PSU certainly gives you a lot of headroom to do multi-GPU down the line.

Unfortunately the lesser-600's are just rumor right now, and the stock of 680's seem to be very tight. I have a feeling we may be waiting a while before the 660/670 are actually available. :(

I agree with this - it will probably be many months until the lower end 6xx series starts to appear.

You can get a used GTX 580 on eBay for less than $300 (I've seen two sell at $266 and $276 in the past week), and it would perform pretty great for many years to come, especially if you're sticking to 1920x1080. You could even get a used GTX 570, save some money, and still get really great performance for quite a while.

I would stay away from multi-GPU, it usually causes more hassle than what it's worth. Having to rely on SLI profiles and such for "optimized" performance is a drag.

I guess I should have mentioned this but i use 2 monitors. 1 for gaming and I do video editing or general browsing on the other.

Those are incredible prices for a super high-end card like the GTX 580. Buy 2 of them for SLI and you're good for years to come.

If you can wait for the GTX 660 ti, then I'd wait if I were you. (And frankly with your budget and NV preference, you have no particularly good options other than to wait. Only the GTX 680 is at 28nm and it'll be a while until the rest of NV's 28nm lineup appears. The 40nm cards are okay, but I would not get any of the higher-end 40nm cards due to the lower power inefficiency and all the power/noise/heat that entails. But if it's a midrange 40nm GPU like a GTX 560 Ti or HD 6870, the absolute difference won't be as big, so you won't take as big of a noticeable hit in power/heat/noise. A GTX 560 Ti used or on sale might be your best bet.

Personally, I got fed up with waiting (I've been waiting for nearly six months now!), so I got a Sapphire 7850 OC today for an effective price of $235, which is a bit higher than I'd prefer. (I could have gotten the ASUS for $10 less, but I hate the cooler overhang which makes me think they didn't give a **** when they designed their 7850, and after looking at the infrared photos of how bad the XFX Double D cooling is due to misplaced fans, I have decided to ONLY buy from companies that give a **** about their cooling design.) On the bright side, the 7850 is ~25% more efficient and quieter (fans at 20% speed at idle). I also get 2 GB VRAM instead of 1 GB VRAM, but I don't think I will really need it for anything anytime soon.

At only 1920x1080 a 580 would be more than enough, you can max out most of today's games with a 580 even at 2560x1600 which requires about twice as much GPU power than 1920x1080.

680's are overkill for what you need, future proofing right now is expensive and useless because games aren't really progressing in terms of demand on graphics cards anyway, it's just one console port after another.

i call BS. go look on ebay now, they are all going for ~$400. maybe if you watched ebay like a hawk for days you might come across one at that rate, but i don't think that's the going rate by any means.

i know you are hardcore nvidia, but the 570 can be beat by a cheaper 7850 with a little OC. i know because i have one and it scores higher than the 570 in all benchmarks i have run. i have read many rumors that when the 570-equivalent kepler comes out, it will only be priced at about $250, which is merely $10 cheaper than the 7850 anyway. i don't see how waiting is worthwhile unless you absolutely have to have nvidia.

I would try to stretch for the GTX 580. I believe it's been below $350 new on Newegg Business a couple of times.

I based that comment on auctions I lost last week. I ended up going with a cheaper 560 ti, but I was hoping I'd get lucky with a 580 or 570

See http://flic.kr/p/bLUYgR for proof - just took a screenshot of "my ebay" screen, with my lost auctions.

Maybe these were exceptions, but I found it strange that two of them in such a short period of time were sold so cheap.
