ddr ram won't have anywhere near as big an effect on the intel board as it does on the amd board, for the simple reason that a dual p3 still uses a single GTL+ bus to connect both processors to the motherboard, so its still constrained by GTL+'s 1.06 GB/s bandwidth limit, even with DDR ram. the athlon will use independent EV6 buses for each chip. EV6 already runs at 2.1 GB/s, so it matches nicely with ddr ram which can do that. also, since theres 2 EV6 buses, there could be 4.2 GB/s of traffic between the northbrdge and the processors. so theres no reason to wait for a dual apollo pro board, since ddr won't really help the p3. hope that helps.
