Should I wait for a better deal?

I'm still considering buying an Ipod. Dell has 10% discount coupon. The question is will there be a better deal coming up after Thanksgiving (when the sales usually happen) or do you think that this Dell deal is a one time fling and they won't have anything else till after Christmas?

They are nearly never discounted - this is probably as good a deal as you will get anytime in the foreseeable future.

Dell will always have deals when it comes around Christmas time, you can defintely count on it.

Find a friend that has a corporate account to purchase it for you. Minimum savings is at least 3%.

I dont think its so much of the vanity of the product.....but. Has anyone here actually seen a distribution agreement FROM a manufacturer?

I cant cut and paste one in, but theres usually a clause under "MINNIMUM ADVERTISED PRICE" that must be followed, otherwise they lose rights to sell.

Its to prevent those with big purchasing and marketing power from undercutting the competition. Thats why you see PS2's, XBoxes, and a lot of mass produced consumer goods always at the same price, regardless of store.
