Work with fish collection at the museum
The Division of Ichthyology of the Florida Museum of Natural History seeks motivated students for hands on work in one of the largest scientific collections of preserved fishes in the United States and the world. Participants learn valuable information regarding the purpose, use, and maintenance of a systematic collection of natural history specimens. With representatives of over 7,000 species of fish totaling more than 2 million specimens, opportunities for gaining a working knowledge of the most diverse group of vertebrates on earth are vast. Those interested in fishes are particularly encouraged to apply.
i stopped by there today... and it seems alright... nothing that exciting.
basically, i'll have to label the fishes and help fill the alcohol in the jar things... etc.
