Should I volt-mod my Radeon 8500?

I just installed a massive HSF on the card along with some pretty hefty ramsinks. The card is now VERY cool to the touch. I can't, however, overclock past 310/310. I'm thinking about doing a volt mod, either the pencil trick or the one that involves soldering and resistors. How much of an overclock would I get after a volt mod? Any info would be great.
