Should I use XP MCE2005?

Is it that good? Also will the remote included with the hauppauge pvr-150 work with MCE 2005? Should I reformat when installing MCE, or can I just do an upgrade? Don't game too much on this computer, but this is my primary computer for school and entertainment.

EDIT: If i was to get MCE2005, I would get the PVR150 with remote if it works in the OS, or maybe the PVR150MCE and buy a wireless keyboard/mouse, or maybe a snapstream firefly.

I have not used it, but feedback on MCE2005 seems good. I believe the PVR150 remote works with it. You might want to give the free trials of BeyondTV (www.snapstream.com) and SageTV (www.sage.tv) a shot and see how you like them.

You also might want to try a more HT-oriented board like www.avsforum.com or www.hometheaterspot.com. I'm sure you can find PLENTY of discussion on these topics over there.
