seeing as how the whole business/industry of modchips lies a bit in the gray area i thought twice about payment forms. since this vendor offers accepts both paypal and cc, which one would afford me more protection in addition to claims?
 
cc or cc through paypal. there is always charge back, so you can lay back and let your cc company to fight for you.
 
oops...when i said paypal, i meant cc via paypal. i just dont know if i'm going to have to jump through hoops if i go the paypal route since it becomes another intermediary
 
i will go with paypal with your cc, let paypal have your cc info is better than those guys you are buying it from.

looks like i won't have any buyer's protection since its not an ebay transaction, only a buyer's complaint process.
i was pretty shocked at reselleratings for the vendor: 4.31 (6 months) and 2.74 overall. i normally wouldnt even consider a store with such bad ratings.
i guess i'll paypal this order in the morning.
