Should I use Microsoft or Intel drivers for my SSD?

Anyone have any preferences? I see intel being recommended most often.

I use Intel. I've heard MS's driver being better than AMD's but there shouldn't be any reason not to use Intel's.

MS's drivers are usually ones for compatibility over functionality. It's nice that you can enable AHCI and install Windows without any crashes. But once done, you should use the storage driver for your hardware.

No. You have to have a driver attached or the system won't work.

If you download the Intel RST driver package and install it, it will replace the MS driver once you reboot.
