Should I use 3 NIC's from the same manufacturer?

I will be networking 3 home machines and normally would pick up the nic's on the For Sale/Trade forum. But should I use 3 cards from the same manufacturer to aid simplification with set up or does it matter?

It is easier to deal with the same drivers, and setup.

Technically does not matter, each card once install on a computer deals with the network through standard Ethernet.

I have 4 Linksys NIC's. Three 10/100 Mbps PCI, and one 10 Mbps ISA.

yeah, getting the same from a single manufacturer is just more convenient. that's all.

if you're going to install more than one card in a computer, use different manufacturers.

why? because otherwise, you can't tell what's what.
