i have BH6 with ata33 support, i just purchased a WD 7200 rpm, ATA100 60gig hard drive.
right now its running as a primary slave. primary master is my good old IBM Deskstar (ATA33) 13gig.

kind of read thru the posts at storage review and their idea is that normal usuage does not fill up the 33mb/sec barrier and thus i wont gain much performance. (a good example was a 1 car moving on 4 lane highway compared to 8 lane highway, it'll still travel over the same speed because there isnt enough traffic).

anyways, ata 100 promise card was kind of cheap and was wondering if ill get much performance increase :)

If you can get one for cheap then go ahead, but for the most part you will not notice to much of an improvement from 33 to 100. But if you have the money then go for it.

Oh yeah, this will probably slow your start up time getting a controller card, because it has to go past one extra screen.
