Should I upgrade or hold out?

I plan on upgrading my computer to an Athon 2800 with a good mobo, lots of memory, and a ATI 9800 pro. Should I go with that upgrade or should I hold out and wait for the new athlon 64 chip thats comming out this September. Or if you have any other suggestions on moving up to a new system and when to do it , let me know. Thanks.
