Should I upgrade my HD for new rig?

I'm in the process of overhauling my current rig. I'm going with the Q6600 quad core and as of now the Gigabyte GA P35 DS3L mobo. My question is, I currently have a WD 3200KS. Should I keep this HD, or upgrade to a faster one? Been looking at the Raptors, and I have a friend that loves his. I do mostly gaming, but I've had problems in the past with doing video editing and slowing the computer down, did that have anything to do with the HD?
If yes on the Raptor, I'm confused if my mobo of choice will work with it? The raptor says its Serial ATA150, while my mobo says its ATA 100 Dev2 Max and SATA 3gb/s. Will these 2 work together?

Thanks
Confused

Raptors are usually not that good as far as price/performance goes, but I have one and I love it.

The raptor will work just fine with your motherboard.

One thing you could do is buy another 320gb or so, and install the operating system on one drive, and keep all of your video files on the other.

Desktop / Single-User Western Digital Raptor WD1500 Lowest Price:
$169.99

WD's newest Raptor delivers the best single-user performance one can buy regardless of interface and spindle speed. For those with more expansive budgets, Hitachi's Deskstar 7K1000 offers performance that matches and in many cases even exceed's that of the Raptor while offering more than six times the storage of WD's petite unit.
