I use it for games like BF1942 and C&C Generals, etc... If so, what should I get in the $250 - $300 limit. Or should I wait (how long)?
Thanks!

If the 4400 plays your games fine I'd wait until the NV40/R400 (or is that R380 now?) were released before I'd upgrade. Current cards will drop in price at that time. :) Your $250 - $300 will get you alot more video horsepower then.

Your ti4400 should be enough to play those games. The only reason to upgrade would be so you can play with higher amounts of AA/AF. If you're happy with your current AA/AF setting though, there's not a whole lot of reason to upgrade and you should probably just wait a while till some of the new cards come out.

Upgrading to 1 GB of Memory will drastically improve performance if you play the Desert Combat mod. I've heard from people that it uses up to 800 MB of RAM.

1GB+ of memory will definately help for any WinXP machine. Personally I'd definately hold on to the 4400 for a bit longer, IMHO it simply not worth it to upgrade from such card at this point in time.

heck, i have a gf3 ti500 and i play the same games as you. i'm not even thinking about upgrading now. IMHO, You should wait till doom3 or hl2 comes out to see if u really need to. Or maybe try upgrading your processor first, ur can OC a 2500+ to 3200+ speeds with ur ram and it will only be $90.
