Should i upgrade my 9600xt?

I have a p4 3.0 1gig ram, with an 9600xt, should i upgrade it for a faster card, or just wait, until i replace the MB with pci express?

I don't think PCI-e is worth it right now. get a 6800gt, or ultra. my 6800 regular does fine. but i hear a 6800gt is good. 6800 regular runs for $300 (mine was $270), 6800gt is $400, and 6800 ultra is $500. I hear the ultra only gives you a 4% preformance gain over the GT. if you can't afford any of that, get a 6600 gt for $200-250

I would wait for the PCI-E upgrade.

I've got a similar rig. Are there any games that don't play well on it (except maybe D3)?

Any DX8.1 game at 1280x1024 or less should be fine.

I find even HL2 plays well on this card.

I guess without knowing what type of gamer you are and when you plan to upgrade it will be hard to help you.
