Should I upgrade from geforce 256 to radeon?

I have a 3d prophet ddr-dvi. I have it overclocked to 155/360 mhz so it is getting gts scores noe in 3dmark. I am wondering if it is worth it to get an ATI Radeon 32 mb ddr for 150 at best buy or should I spring for the 64 mb version?

Here are a few questions:

How big is the difference in 3dmark2000 between a Radeon 32mb ddr and a 64 mb ddr?

How much is the difference between the 32 mb ddr version and my overclocked geforce?

My 3d prophet cant handle the higher agp buses, 121 mhz bus at 2/3 ago bus ratio, will the Radeon go higher, to at least 133mhz bus at a 2/3 agp bus ratio?

My system is in my sig.

And please, only 3dmark scores only because I have never used the quake 3 tests and therefore I dont know how to compare the two!

If getting bigger numbers in benchmarks is what you are after stick with the nvidia brand. 3d mark 2000 loves the gts

now if you were after higher quality look and feel + features i would then suggest the radeon

The radeon will play any game the gts will just as fast, but looks better doing it and has more uses..its simply a better and smarter buy

I say forget 3D Mark, forget the GTS, and forget the Radeon. Looks like you have a screamer already. Save your money and get a next gen card.

i'd stick with it. so long as you're gettin playable framerates etc. i don't really see a reason to spend the money, except for bragging rights

would stick with it too, unless you really want that extra frames or if you are rich. then get a Quadro2

thanks, you guys have talked me out of it! i was all caught up in having the best card amongst my friends but screw it, i guess since i recently lost my speed crown I wanted to hold another thing of high excellence

Too many people get caught up in that kind of thing...
It's a waste.
If your system works, use it. Don't worry about "speed crowns" hehe
