should i update my programs?

if i have one version of a program (getright, cuteftp, etc), should i keep the version i have, or should i get the latest one?

It depends on if upgrading will give you any benefit or not, whether it's bug fix, some features you want to have.. otherwise a lot of time the newer version might give you tons of useless features and introduce more bugs.. A good example is ICQ.
