Should I update my motherboard?

First tool:
Intel® Application Accelerator. http://downloadfinder.intel.com/scr...oductID=663&OSFullName=Windows*+Me&submit=Go!
I don't quite understand what this tool does. Does it really improve anything or is it just risky to try?

Second Tool:
Updates for Intel Chipsets. http://developer.intel.com/design/software/drivers/platform/inf.htm

What bothers me is this:
If you are a business user or home PC user using Intel® 810 chipset family [..] we suggest you contact your PC manufacturer for driver updates specific to your system.

I own an Hewlett Packard, should I download anyways? Hewlettpackard.com doesn't have any upgrades for Intel chipsets.

I just don't want to upgrade something that doesn't add or improve anything and might just as well wreck my system.

Just dl those two tools, yes no?

If you are having problems with the mobo or other hardware, maybe. If you are not experiencing any problems don't.

It should be fine. I used that driver to update a crappy HP Brio at work, it seemed to be ok although I don't notice any difference yet.
