Should I try FreeBSD?

Have a feeling the monkey boy will respond to this first ;-)

I'm pretty good with Linux, but not happy with it on my laptop.  I want to stay away from MS, how do you think FreeBSD will run on a Thinkpad 600E?  I looked alittle but didn't find anything about hardware compatibility with lappys.......... maybe I should buy a mac 😀
 
I wasnt first, but better late than never 😉

Anyhow, I prefer it to linux (Im a BSD snob). But I would personally use OpenBSD on a laptop. That being an older laptop you shouldnt have any problems installing or using either on it.
