So I've been replying to a lot of ads and now have been getting call backs.. One job is kinda odd but I think that it could be fun.. The job is to go to certain clubs at night and take pictures for a website (non porno, of course).. I'm not a clubber at all but I figure that it would be fun to be a "watcher." You have to own your own camera and you have to commit to 3 nights a week.. The pay is $10/hr. I know that's not a lot but i'm broke.. Should I take it or is that really too little $$? My interview is tomorrow! AHhh!

edit: also, how hard is it to get pictures of clubbers? will i get my ass kicked or will there be a lot of willing people?

True.. I'm worried that my computer nerd image will hurt me during the interview - should I spike up my hair and wear blue sunglasses 😉 Any clubbers here? How hard is it to get pictures of people? Do they mostly cooperate or will I end up getting my ass kicked? There is a quota and I'm a bit worried about that..

You're right 🙂 I'd just like to think about it before going into the interview... Though I do feel oddly excited - i've been unemployed for months now but now I got 3 callbacks in 2 days - guess the economy is shaping up a bit 🙂
 
There's a lot of jobs that are worse than that. I'd go for it if they offer it to you. As far as the picture taking, why not just ask people if they're OK with you snapping pics?
 
Wear what you want to wear. Argue that it is better that you aren't a clubber so they know you are doing work and not dancing with all the hot ladies. As for people beating you up, so long as you aren't taking pictures of womans goods I think you will be fine. Most of those folk like to show off for hte camera. Work is work, I would take it in a heartbeat.
 
Sounds like fun. Give it a whirl. It's not like you're committing yourself to the army or the priesthood or anything - if it doesn't work out, try something else.

Actually I thought it was law that you had to ask the patrons to take pictures in a place that served alcohol.
 
if it's being done covertly, then take a camera that's small, can turn off the flash, and has 5x optical zoom

The law is going to be locally based so know your local ordinances. In particular it may be illegal to take pictures of anyone on private property without their permission. You should inspect your local laws, consult a lawyer or talk to the local DA's office to find out if what you planning to do is legal.

Sorry for being vague - I'd have to get everyone's permission first.. I just don't want to walk into a situation where I take a girls picture but the dude behind gets peeved at me.. Whatever though, I'll see how the interview turns out
