So i've scrounged up some PC100 ram, 512, 128, 128 for 768MB total. Should I replace my 256mb DDR PC2100 for the 768mb PC100 ram? My motherboard is an ASUS that has slots for both SDRAM and DDR but I can only use one kind.

I want to add more RAM while being very cheap about it. I need more ram to play FarCry without getting the running low on Virtual Memory message. 256 just ain't good enough.

So your board has both SDR and DDR support with 3 SDR slots? That's pretty good!

I'd definately used the 768MB of PC100 over 256MB of DDR PC2100.
