Should I still use a Readyboost usb stick?

I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate and I've just upgraded my ram from 2gigs to 8gigs. I was using a 8gig USB stick for Readyboost, but I'm wondering if there is a point to it.
Does it hamper my PC having it there now?

It will not hamper it. Readyboost is parallel. It will request information from both your hard disk and USB drive at the same time and will use that information from whichever gets it 1st.

If you're interested in seeing if it's of any use, you could do a blind test on yourself. I once had an Intel SSD in a USB enclosure and used it as a Readyboost on my work PC with 4GB of RAM. I was suprized at the difference.

readyboost for 1GB-1.5GB anything 2GB or more - waste. buy an SSD you're whole drive will be readyboost.

Fancycache by Romex is also a good alternative to this old news. I believe Emulex nailed it though.
