every few months this guy screws up his pc(spyware/virus related) and so do his parents.

i tell him what to do and how to keep it clean but yet it doesn't do any good. since i work on his pc sooo much should i still charge regular price for any work i do or give him a discount?

Well, I never charge family or friends for helping them with their PC. I do get the free meal thou!

no, charge EXTRA, so he'll quit asking you to do it

only thing is that it's very easy money.

considering my labor rate is very little to someone such as a mom and pop pc store or best buy, i think that's pretty even. although anytime they call me asking small questions(like i'm a tech support line) i help them out.

everytime he's messed it up it usually already has way too many cases of spyware/malware/viruses and it's just as easy to reinstall windows that fight trojan after trojan and still worry if 'everything' is clean or not.

i'm not trying to rip him off. if i was trying to accomplish that then i would charge right under what the pc tech stores or geeksquad do.
