Should I stick to DDR400?

AMD cpus officially support DDR400 is a fact. If I use DDR500 would I essentially be overclocking my PC? Is the memory speed correlated to the hypertransport speed?

I think the DDR500 will just run at DDR400. Anything faster than DDR400 is just for o/cing reasons afaik.

They might look nice, but they won't make it run a bit faster. :laugh:

Just installing it will not OC anything, the advantage is that you can OC the CPU up to that point without using a divider or loose timings etc. It will not run at 500 until you set it to in BIOS.
