Should I start buying my parts now as I find them?

I am building a system with the NF4 board.

I've picked out:
NF4 board of some kind
1gb PC3200 Corsair Value(done have this)
Leadtek or similar 6600GT
AMD 64 3000+(which one should I go with?)
OCZ Modstream 450 or 520watt(not sure yet)

Heres the thing should I wait till I am ready to buy my motherboard to get the rest? Or should I just start buying these parts as I can find them for decent prices? I've seen the OCZ Modstream 520 for $117 shipped and its at least $130+ shipped everywhere else.

It could be 2 weeks or a month(or longer) before I get my motherboard. Because I am hopeing for more of a selection. Just wondering if prices would be that much difference between now and then? Also when I do find my board some of the stuff might be out of stock.

PC hardware always drops in price. The longer you wait, the cheaper it will be. Of course, this doesn't account for good sales and special deals. IMO, it makes the most sense to purchase all of your parts at once for the cost reason alone. Additionally, you will be able to test all of your parts at once as well. If you wait a month or longer, you may not be able to return a faulty part. Besides, having a bunch of cool gear laying around that you can't use sucks, get it all at once and enjoy it.

I think I will wait then on the CPU and video for when I get the board. Curious is there only one type of 3000+? I may get the PSU now since the price probably won't change much in the next couple weeks to a month. Also I can test it.

Wait 'till all the parts are available & you have the fund, then buy all.

It makes no sense to do partial buys since:
1. price will always go lower over time
2. why pay now if you can't use it now

Its strange, at ZZF, the corsair value ram has gone up 30.00 and the 3200+ has gone up 16.00 in 2 days. I know it always goes down over time but sheesh, a small spring in price the past couple of days =). Overall I'd agree, prices do go down over time hehe
