I love BF2.

Currently have a 7800GT and I was planning on buying a second one for SLI.

But I read that the X1950 XT is a good bangbucker...

What do you think guys???

I have a card on the same level (X1800), and it's just fine for BF2. I don't see the point in a new card unless you're running at ultrahigh res.

Yeah, you already have a high-end *enough* card. So...I'd just wait.

One option is to sell your 7800GT and buy the X1950XT. However as OSX pointed out you may not need an upgrade if you have a small monitor and run at low resolutions.

I have a Dell 24" LCD 1900x1200

The thing is that I can play everything maxed out @ 1600X1200
2XQ AA...4XAF..."performance" settings

It plays OK but there are visible "jaggies" and when you have smoke or dust FPS drops considerably.

I havent tested it at native resolution (1900x1200) because you have to edit the video.con file so support that resolution.

I already tested It SLI and @ 1600x1200 8XAA 16XAF "High Quality" Settings it "lagged"
a little bit.

MY question is....is the ATI stronger than the SLI 7800???

I have a Opty 165, 2GB RAM, Epox 9npa sli

Bottlenecks???

@ that resolution and the games that u play now (assumed since your 7800gt plays mostly fine with them) the x1950xt would be good...
